I have never done Yoga before, are the classes suitable for beginners?
You don’t need any prior yoga experience to take part in the classes. There are lots of options and alternatives offered in each class to ensure that the session is accessible for all shapes, sizes, ages and experience.
What do I need?
A yoga mat is useful, but a large towel would suffice. We often use ‘props’ in the classes, but you can use books to replace bricks and blocks, a folded blanket to sit on or for warmth and a dressing gown belt makes an excellent yoga strap.
Wear comfortable clothing that you can move around in, and it’s best to practice bare foot if possible, or you can use ‘yoga socks’. Ensure that you will be warm enough for the relaxation elements of the class.
How do Online Classes work?
All classes use the Zoom platform. You can access the classes on a phone, tablet or computer. If using a phone or tablet, you will need to download the zoom app.
Once you have booked your classes, you will receive a link to the Zoom session.
The class opens 5 minutes before every session. Please allow extra time to log in the first time you join, if you have not used Zoom before. Please ensure you connect to audio when prompted.
If you are comfortable, please leave your camera on and try to position it so that you can see the screen clearly, and if possible, so that I can see you too.
Feel free to log in with 2 devices to achieve this (but ensure you only join the audio on one device, or you will get awful feedback noise).
Don’t worry if it is not possible for me to see you at all times.
What if the times of the classes don’t suit me?
No problem! All of the classes are recorded. Simply book onto the class that you would like, and if you don’t attend in person, I will send you a link to the recording afterwards via email. The recorded sessions expire after 7 days.
You will not be recorded in any of the sessions.
